THE SHOP // MOON DROPS

1:00:00 AM

There are new goodies in the shop!

Say hello to Moon Drops. One of my most recent creations that I am so thrilled about.

Too many nights I lay wide awake, confused about why my mind won't rest and why my body won't relax. There are few things more frustrating than when you are exhausted but just can not fall asleep. And so, it was one of these sleepless nights, when I shot up straight with the idea for this product.

Moon Drops is made with relaxing and soothing natural scents, infused under a crescent moon. Each bottle is filled with a balance of lavender, with it's therapeutic and relaxing properties, and vanilla with its warmth then placed under a crescent moon and sealed in the morning before the sun rises.

Why the crescent moon? A full moon is known to disturb us internally, not in a bad way, but our bodies naturally respond to a full moon. A crescent moon, however, offers a time for new beginnings and is said to be a time of casting spells.

I like to mist a few pumps on my pillow, PJs, sheets, or even my hands before settling down for the night. It's also the perfect thing to take along to a hotel to make those cold rooms feel a little more home-y.

Be sure to check out the Moon Drops on www.lovelyadventureblog.etsy.com.

A MONTH IN MOMENTS // OCTOBER

1:00:00 AM

I can't believe that I have already made two "a month in moments" posts for october here. Time truly does just race away from us.

This october was spent much like the last with pumpkins, corn mazes, Halloween costumes (sushi this year), and lots of warm drinks.

One thing that no camera can capture, however, is just how glorious and breathtaking this autumn season has been. I have never seen natural beauty quite like a have this fall.

The Hunter's Moon

5:37:00 PM

one of my greatest obsessions is the moon. its beauty, luminescence, and fascinating surface always takes me breath away.

every time a special event within the night sky takes place, whether it be an eclipse, meteor shower, or just a new moon, i try to take some time to sit under the sky, snap a few photos, and marvel at its beauty.
this past week's special event was a full moon accompanied by a total lunar eclipse. october's full moon is titled the hunter's moon because october is the month of gathering. as we head into the colder, shorter days of fall we do indeed begin to collect, gather, and hunt for supplies as we prepare to face the longer days of winter.  personally, i would like to gather candles, apple cider, thick blankets, and wool socks; however, i am a broke college student that will be gathering packets of hot chocolate and ramen for seventy-eight cents.
but anyway...here is to crisp nights, gorgeous skies, and the beginning of autumn!
